Afreen is a ferocious rabble-rouser from Pakistan who lives in London in 1985. She despises everything about India and sets fire to an Indian’s automobile in retribution for India burning Pakistan’s flag. In his will, he requests that she send a letter that he was unable to deliver—it was written in 1965 by Indian Army Lieutenant Ram to his Indian sweetheart Sita Mahalakshmi—because Afreen had a debt to pay. Afreen reluctantly agrees to deliver the letter to her so that Tariq’s fortune might be passed on to her. In order to find Sita, Afreen travels to Hyderabad with Balaji, a senior at the university in London.
He explains to Afreen that Princess Noor Jahan gave the college, which was formerly the Nawab of Hyderabad’s royal residence, for the sake of ladies’ education. When she gets an idea, she decides to look for Ram instead and discovers the Kashmir address of Lt. Vikas Varma, a member of Ram’s battalion. Ansari, who dispatched teenagers to Kashmir in 1964, tells them where the Indian Army is located.
Major Selvan gives the army the order to apprehend and execute the Pakistani youngsters after learning about them since they pose a threat to the security of the Indians in Kashmir. Ansari enters Kashmir knowing this would occur and brainwashes the Muslims there. Ram tries to halt them as he captures the informant and tells the Kashmiri Muslims the truth after realising they are being controlled by Ansari. One of them is a letter that Sita Mahalakshmi wrote to him in the capacity of her husband.
Based on the specifics she provided in the letters, Vikas and Ram board the same train as Sita one day and thoroughly search the entire train. Ram is sought after by Sita at Durjoy’s home. Once more, Sita departs without providing him with an address. Ram sees Sita’s friend during a magic show where he is looking for her, and she tells him that Sita has been writing him several letters but has only posted a small number of them.
He learns that Sita is a dance instructor who lives in Hyderabad’s Princess Noor Jahan’s castle and instructs the princess in Bharatanatyam. Ram finds out that Sita’s first interaction with him was when he genuinely protected her from riots in Agarta. Later, it is discovered that Sita is actually Princess Noor Jahan, whose marriage to the Prince of Oman was arranged in order to preserve her family’s factories and enterprises from being taken hostage in Oman. She goes to say goodbye to Ram but stays with him for the following four days when they meet his family (the ones that wrote him the letters).
Later, Ram travels for Kashmir after dropping Sita off at the palace.
