The film tells the story of a Maharashtrian family who live in Goa and whose lives turn upside down when their older daughter Anju has a skirmish with a college boy Sameer at a nature camp. Vijay Salgoankar, the father of Anju, tries to protect his family, but is unable to do so because of his obsession with watching films. He takes his family out on a weekend trip to Panjim to attend Swami Chinmayanand’s Satsangh Session, watch a movie and eat at a restaurant, thus proving his alibi and making the owners of the establishments they have been to and their statements also prove the Salgaonkar’s alibi. Meanwhile, Meera, the daughter of the Inspector General of Police, realises that her son has gone missing and starts an investigation.
